Pelfrey starts his season!
Let's call the first month a do-over for Mike Pelfrey, who finally looked great, pitching a solid 7 innings. For the first 6 innings, the Mets looked like, well the Mets with only 2 hits and no runs. Trailing 1-0, David Wright walked, then stole second. Then Ike Davis, who homered last night, hit another deep bomb tonight to give the Mets the lead. They never looked back, winning their second in a row 4-1. Yeah, we'll take it...

Breakout!!!!!! 9-1
Oh yeah, our Metropolitans are in full blown break-out tonight. 3 weeks of LOSER'S frustration is exploding. David Wright: 2 for 3 BREAKOUT after oh for twenty, it's homer and extra base time. Jason Bay returned tonight in a major way - extra bases and a 4 run inside the park error by Hunter Pence (who hurt us badly last night). Mike Nickeas - homer! Ike Davis homer! Final score? 9-1. ok, a little reality - it's the second win in 10 home games. But for tonight, we'll take it, oh yes we shall.

The One Who has Missed the Action, Gets Some Action
Dillon Gee is todays Metropolitan savior. They managed to beat the Atlanta Braves 3-2, taking the final game. It breaks a New York 7 game losing streak. All I can say is Halleluyah!!!
