Bullpen in disarray!!!

What good is it if Santana pitches a great 7 or 8 innings and then the bullpen comes in and gives up yet another walk-off grand slam? hmm? Simple question.

I'm sitting here with my dear old Dad, who has cursed me, as his father cursed him with Mets fandom. We are watching the Mets Padres and it's the 10th inning because of DAVID ECKSTEIN. More specifically, a blown save by K-Rod and a general lack of offense by the Mets, except for Jason Bay and Jeff Francoeur who was taken out of the game, mind you, to bring in Gary Matthews, Jr, who gets a hit, what, once a month??!!

Loss to San Diego 18-6?? What the???

This is the team that took 2 of 3 from the Yanks, and swept the Phillies (just last week!). Not just swept them, SHUT THEM OUT completely. 27 scoreless innings. The team that has plagued us, that has taken the season away from us in the last week of the season, repeatedly. Now, against a team with one big name player, that averages only 4 runs per game, a light hitting team, shall we say, our Metropolitans get SHEEEE-LACKED 18-6. What the???!!!
