Another ALMOST comeback! Relievers lose it

Mets pitching fails again. Surprisingly, starting pitching has been good. Big Pelf and his new splitter is 2-0 and Ollie Perez had a really solid 6.33 innings allowing one run and striking out four. Nieve came in in relief - he faced two batters, hitting the first and walking the second. Valdez comes in and gives up a the grand salami to Felipe Lopez who is not exactly a homerun hitter. Despite this, the Mets almost came back, scoring two against Cardinals closer Ryan Franklin. David Wright made two fantastmagoric diving catches at third, reminding us that the gold glover is the whole package. Final? 4-3 - another heartbreaker.
