A two game winning streak! Impressive....
At least for us it is! Tonight the Mets won game 1 of their series at home against the Cubbies as Bobby Parnell pitched a confident and brilliant 7 innings. Cory Sullivan hit a towering home run to right, walked twice, hit an RBI single and made a beautiful diving catch to rob Fukodome of an extra base hit. Our first 2 back to back wins in a VERY long time.
Beltran and Maine - dare to hope?
How lucky are Cyclones fans to be in the stands at Keyspan Park in Brooklyn for the last 3 games? The answer? Very lucky - they have been treated to three rehab starts for Carlos Beltran. John Maine will pitch in a minor league rehab start as well. Could a return to the majors be far behind? Dare to hope!
Back to school and back to winning!
Sorry we haven't posted in a while, but we've been pretty busy going back to school the last couple of days. We've also been busy watching every Met game and following the team. Yesterday was all about the offense with the long ball and some good offensive plays as the Mets beat the Rockies 8-3. Murphy hit a 2-run homer in the 8th and Misch recorded his first major league win. Also, Josh Thole made his MLB debut behind the plate and did a fantastic job, going 2 for 5 with a double, single and a stolen base. We expect great things out of this kid.
