Dodging the rain while we face the Phillies: a double challenge!

Tonight the family is at Citifield for the first of four at home against the hated Phillies. Big Pelf pitches tonight for the Mets. He's been erratic this seaon but his last start was great - 2 earned runs over almost 8 innings. Plus, they face Cole Hamels, the shakiest of the Phillies starters. More to come if the rain stays away........

Breaks a club record!!!

The 10 hits posted by the Mets in the 4th inning by 13 batters breaks a club record!!!  Sheffield nailed two doubles in the same inning.  Castillo also got two hits.  They did it with no home runs or triples.  When it's great, it's really great!
