The scariest moment for a lot of people happened in the 3rd inning at Citi field.  This includes David Wright who is in the HOSPITAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as we speak.  Amazing what will happen when you're hit in the HEAD by a FASTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was at the game.  I'll find Cain, get my grampa's cane, and hit Cain with that cane.

Frenchy does it again.  After falling behind 1-0 in the first, Francoeur got us even with solo line-drive homer into the fourth row in left field.  It's his 10th of the year and his 5th since becoming a Met.  Good job, Jeff!

A lineup designed to lose!!!

If we had to choose a lineup designed to lose the game, we couldn't have done any better.  I understand that David Wright deserves a day off here and there, but come on!  No Wright, no Sheffield, no Pagan, and no Santos!  Hey Schneider is due for his hit of the summer!  The pitcher Livan Hernandez has stunk it up badly his last two starts.  He's a better hitter than most of the lineup!  He should be hitting 4th instead of 9th!!!  What are you thinking, Jerry?

Santana does it!!!

The Mets avoided a sweep in San Diego on a brilliant performance by Johan Santana.  With 13 wins he is tied for the most wins in the National League.  He struck out 4 and only walked 2.  He even hit an RBI single and scored a run.  In these times of bad news and even worse news for the Mets, it's a rare pleasure to watch a Mets all-star who is still on his game.
